Happy Day! Another Email from Zac. Sept 27th, 2013

Mom. this Email is addressed to you specifically, so don't say that I never email you.

I guess that you are wondering why the heck I titled this "Trogdor!!!!!!!!!" but, to tell you the truth, I am wondering that too.=P

Life here at the MTC isnt an easy one. you have to get up in the morning..... not that I have a problem with that, but after sitting in classes aaaaaaaallllllllllllll day, you never want to get back out of bed. The showers here are never just right. they are always too hot or way way toooo cold! actually... I lied... Bad missionary.... I had a really fantastic one to day. The temperature was just right and it was relaxing! I bet that you are totally reading this to know how my shower went this morning, so I will just move on.... I found a new font. please excuse my punctuation/spelling/gramatical errors because I recieved 25 emails and I read them all. sorry that I dont have enough time to reply to all of themI have so many pictures to up load, but I dont have a cord that can hook up to the computers here..... it is rather annoying if you ask me. anyways...

WE COMMITTED SOMEONE TO BAPTISM ALREADY!!!!!!!

yeah, It was pretty dang awesome. the spirit was there and everything. we started talking about how God takes a huge risk to let us come to earth. Our investigators name is Jose Meza and he had a rough life growing up. his parents are divorced and his new dad beat he and his mom a lot.... sad times... so we decided to talk about the Plan o' Sal! (plan of salvation)  I bore my testimony to him after we had given him a rundown of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I told him that I know that Christ suffered for our sins so that we can feel that peace and happiness that totally sets us free from guilt and shame. I told him that I know that we can return back to our father in heaven. after that, We asked if he would be willing to be baptized in order to feel this great power of the Atonement. and guess what? HE SAID YES!! So dang awesome!!!! It was all really cool until we told him that we were being transferred to another area.......

I had to sit through a nine hour meeting yesterday. turns out that the MTC is pretty much going to classes and meetings that are crucial to how you perform in the field. but really!NINE HOURS??!?!?!
It was actually kinda fun. In the MTC, we do role play like no other. it is more intense than a high school musical production an hour before the big show. oh, and Elder Bednar is thebomb.com. I am telling you that now, because I can't say that in an airport. ^  ^  ^  (if the formatting of this document is not the same as I was writing this, the arrows are pointing to the big red underlined word)  I miss you alllll!!!!! Thank you mom for

With the most ultimate love I can give,

Your FAVORITE son.

First Letters Sent Home

Letter Addressed to Mom Snell
Hi Mommy!   ^^
I am so excited to be able to write home today. I have had a marvelous experience here in the MTC. Ever since you dropped me off, I have thought about you and our family. One thing miss most is hearing Dad and Caden play the piano or marimba. When I got here, we went to a meeting with all the new missionaries and a sister played a musical number. She played Hymn #29....YUP! The exact same one that Caden played at my farewell. Anyways....
My companion’s name is Elder Smith and he is a super awesome guy. He has a big family (7 kids including him) and he is very close to them. Turns out he is our district leader and I believe that he is the one to do it. He is so prepared and nobody can do it better than he can.
My P-Day is on Friday, so you can predict accordingly on when I will be able to respond to any letters. I have had the time of my life here in the MTC. I enjoyed gym time yesterday. I played 4 square with my companion and a bunch of Elders and Sisters that are Korea bound. Everyone here is so nice and made me feel welcome the minute I set foot on MTC ground.
Oh Yea....Can you send me some stamps maybe? Heh...that would be much appreciated...    :p
I love you soooooooo much and can’t wait to tell you experiences that have (when I have any worthy of telling). I am taking pictures for you though.
Funny story- So I go back to my room from our very first day and I see in one of the closets that someone has written in it....
TCT
Trash Can Time
Put the littlest person in this room in the trash can! But do it in Lovingly!
Carry on the tradition!
Great! I had been shoved into a trash can on my first day in the MTC. I am really feeling the Brotherly Love. Anyways, I am having a blast. Don’t worry about me getting shoved into more trash cans, because it was a once in a life time experience....I hope.
I like the food here. It isn’t too bad but I had sweet and sour pork last night for dinner and I loved it. It reminded me of Dad and when we went to Temari’s Japanese restaurant. I have pictures of all of our family to look at and I appreciate you giving them to me. I am missing a picture of Howie and Chip though. PLEASE feel free to send me pictures of ANYTHING that is going on. Even a pic of the new Maverick.
Let everyone know that I really don’t have much time to write them all, so it would help if you let everyone know of my stories. I miss you all and think about you every day.
Love Your Son,
Elder Snell

Letter Addressed to My Superb Family
(To preface this letter, Zac LOVES paperclips and before he lefton his mission he hid several all over the house for me to find. I was so excited to find some of them yesterday and today)
I just wanted you to know that I know I am in the right place right now.
Heh..................
I love finding these (he sent a green paper clip with the letter). Le me know if you find any of mine I have strategically placedin the house. Anyways. Whenever I find a paperclip, it is Heavenly Father telling me that I am living worthily. Even better that it is Green!
My companion thinks it’s funny why I love paperclips so much. He has a lot of learning to do.
LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

Let The Challenge Begin!

WELCOME TO ELDER ZACKARY SNELL'S MISSION LETTERS

I have never attempted a blog before so this could be fun, right? I have created this blog for anyone who would like to follow Zac and his missionary letters that he sends home along with pictures.

Here it is :)

Hey guys! I hope you are all not missing me too much. hahaha jkjk.

I think about all of you guys all the time. Please know that I appreciate all that you wrote in my journal. I reflect back on those and read them all the time. anyways, what have I done here in the two days that I have been here?

I have a stupendous companion who is a district leader and amazing friend to me. (watch out Jake, you might be replaced.) ;) jk

I wrote a letter that will contain more information on what has been going on here at the MTC, so I will keep this brief. I have already been shoved into a trash can. yup! all within the first 5 hours that I showed up here. I am surrounded by football players while I am a band geek. They are super cool as well. Anyways, if any of you have any questions, please ask and I will be glad to answer. Ummmmmm..... yeah!

PLEASE write! I get super bored if I don't have something to read from home and thanks to Jake, I was able to be entertained for at least a little bit. Caden, Thanks for teaching me how to open bananas cool ways, because my companion thinks it is hilarious how many ways I can open one. Anyway, Live Life to the Fullest! Love you all!
