THE PROPHESY HAS BEEN FULFILLED!

so i am super super short on time right now. I plan to send a written letter to mom so she has to type it all up so everyone can see it.

anyways. the gospel can now touch every part of the world! thats right! through facebook! I get to be a facebook missionary!!!!! in december we are getting I pads for each missionary and an I phone for each companionship. We can now skype and have lessons over it with people from home, so find nonmember friends and ask if they want to have a missionary talk to them. you, my companion and I can have a Skype lesson, so get skype!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I love alll of you!!! keep living the gospel and find those who are lost! I know that most everyone is a member where I live, but! there are tons of you who know people who could use a good talking to by the missionaries.

Keep Living life to the fullest! untill my mom types up the letter,

SALSA!!!!

SALSA!!!

That was the first thing that came to mind when I read the word: Subject. I just wanted you all to know.
So the mission life caries on! Dun Dun Dun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have loved every minute of it! sure it gets tough and you sometimes have to eat fish and stuff or talk to a super awkward families and experience miracles and get boo'd of the door step and sometimes you run into someone with an awesome turbin on their head.
sadly only a few of these came to be, but I shall elaborate.
The missionary life is one of a glutton. haha! You eat what ever is put on your plate and you pick every last crumb off the plate. I cant tell you how I managed to shove 4 baked potatos in my mouth and into my stomach after a huge meal. The family just kept putting them on my plate! I cant stand baked potatos... especially when they aren't even cooked! On the bright side, I did gain about 3 lbs since I have left! ahahahaha! Take that biggest loser! Now I am the biggest gainer! now you get to watch skinny people eat instead of watching overweight people work out! :P
So there is this missionary from Canada and, as Ally Brough would say, he is a hoot and a half! last Monday was not only UEA, but it was also Canadian Thanksgiving! so, we all got together at the church, played basket ball and ate all of your classic thanksgiving stuff! only one thing was added. Putine! I probably spelled it wrong and smelled it wrong, but i definitely didn't taste it wrong! It was french fries covered in cheese covered in gravy. Yeah, that's right, Jake. I just ate one of your dreams!
2nd Timothy 1:7-8
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord.
I have shared this scripture a couple times as a spiritual thought for when we teach members. I now extend the same challenge to all of you.
You all heard the prophet tell us that the members need to actively participate in missionary work! So do it! I challenge you to not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord! Share the truths that are crucial to understand to obtain celestial glory! There are people out there who don't understand what we have waiting for us!
How Great, the Call of the Chosen!
We are they who have been chosen to save! We have been called and answered full heartedly. We have been called to help others endure. We have been chosen to bring a light and a happiness to those who dwell in darkness and sorrow. We are angels sent from God. We find those who are seeking. We lift those who are falling. We lighten those who are burdened. We are they who after having done their part, turn back and carry those who's all is not enough. We are the Suppliers of Grace, the Bringers of Truth, the Givers of Glory to God!
How Great, the Call of the Chosen!
I love you all! thanks for all the support you have given me and love you have shown!
Until Next Monday,

Gong-Ye-Tam-Pi!!!!!

     HAHAHAHA I think the only people that will understand the title of the Email is Caden and Jake. Anyways, I am loving this place! It has been so fun biking everywhere and talking to all the missionaries that have been out here for a year. My companion is the District Leader...... AGAIN!!!! I don't know what God is trying to tell me, but I will roll with it because I know that he has the big road map to success and all I have to do is trust his directions that he gives me. ^^

     So, you would think that I would be able to show up to my mission and just be able to talk to people at their doorstep with confidence and be able to tie in a gospel principle while casually talking about their plants/dog/family/job/sport interests/oddly colored hair/awesome accent, but that isn't the case... The first door I knocked, I was grateful to have it be a really nice person that would listen to me stammer on about how the gospel of Jesus Christ is the pathway back to our Heavenly Father. Halfway through my speech, the familiar "no speak English" comes up and they shut the door..... *sigh* Yeah, Missionary Tracting life is tough. On behalf of my downheartedness of getting the door shut in my face and me beating myself up knowing I could do better, my companion came up with a "fun" game. At least, that is what he called it... The game was called, "Lets Have Elder Snell Knock Doors Until He Gets Someone To Listen To Him. Then When That Happens, He Will Do It For The Rest Of The Night". *Sarcastic 'Yay!!!!!'* So guess what! I am now a total Boss at Knocking doors!!! HAHA Even though the process wasn't that fun, It was totally worth it. Of course I got tired of my companion saying: "So what did we learn from that?" or "What could you have done better?" Yeah, we had fun.

    Jake, you were wondering why you had the urge to go up and bare your testimony in church today. I have the answer. I DID TOO!!! My church was at 9:00 which for your time is around 7. I bore my testimony and you knew it deep down inside of you. Heavenly Father wont let our deal die down, just letting you know. You thought you had escaped the Grips of having to bare your testimony, but you are DEAD wrong!!! BWAHAHAHA!!!!

     I have loved getting letters from all of you and hearing about what life back home is like. Can somebody please convince Caden to wear his Hot dog costume for Halloween and send me a video of him doing his "I'm a Hot dog" Dance. Also, spread the word to all my trumpets I love them all and they better not disappoint at Davis Cup!!!!1(yes, that is a 1 at the end of exclamation points;)

      I love you all!!!! Hymn #252

This is Elder Snell, Leaving the Building! -=iii=<{

I asked for a picture of him with his badge on and this is what I got. Yup! glad he is getting in the Groove and comfortable :)

Happy To Be In The Mission Feild

So I am now in Virginia and am loving the weather! my companion doesn't like the weather much because it is "too hot"..... YEAH RIGHT I wake up in the morning and have to throw my jacket on because I am so cold.... I love the weather right now! It is quite awesome! anyways, I was given this little list to complete. here i go!

Let us begin....

I am Serving in the Manassas city/area.

I am in the Manassas Zone and Manassas district.

My companion's name is Elder Cannon.

He is from Ventura, California.

He has been in this mission 15 Months.

He enjoys That is an awesome question.

We get along pretty well.^^

I watched General Conference at Manassas 2nd church building or members and non members houses

I have a crock pot to cook food. Yes or No ________
(Grandma wanted to send u recipes).

I have to ride my bike everywhere because I am in a bike area ? Yes or no.
If Yes, I have biked no idea miles in a day so far.

I have given out 0 book of Mormons.

I have spoken to a crazy amount of people.

I have been to too many to count homes to teach.

The weather here is spectacular!

My helmet fits___________. Good /bad.

My clothes are working out and are sufficient. Yes or no. If not Explain:
My mission President is {essay) <-- No! I am not in school! ;P
He is quite awesome!

I have used my voice recording device to send my family messages. Yes or No.
My experience the first night in the mission field was quite interesting. I had no idea what I was doing for the first day. we had an investigator we were going to teach the first night and she fell through on the appointment... Other than biking everywhere, it was Super good! We have an investigator named Broken ---- and he is an old guy who is very religious. Today, (pday) he took us to go to the NRA(national rifle association) museum. I took pictures and I can up load them. They had all sorts of cool guns and rifles there! one of my favorites was the nazi belt buckle gun. you flip the front design open and BANG!!!! You inconspicuously walk away from a murder scene with everyone else wondering how you did it. BWAHAHA!!!!! We have fun!

The members feed us so well here. we had sloppy joes at the Koons house and I had about three sandwiches. after that, I had a cinnamon roll (super delicious) and then some apple cobbler! It was a Dutch oven party to be at! The best part was, we did it while watching the last session of General conference.

 First day experience: So we knock on this door and this Jamaican guy opens the door and a wave of MJ smoke hits us. it was like a punch to the face! Even I could smell it! it was that bad! anyways, so this guy answers the door (he doesn't have dred locks) and said he is interested in our church and had been given a Book of Mormon by his mom who isn't LDS. so he said we could come back and teach him on sunday. I walked away thinking that he was just as high as a kite and just said that because of that very reason. So comes Sunday, we go into his apartment and teach him about the restoration. Ba da da da da He's lovin' it! (McDonalds Jingle) He is so prepared to receive the gospel. now you may be thinking. what are we going to do about his dope addiction? I have no Idea, but the Lord does! If we turn to him, all troubles will seem to slip away. Isn't that magnificent?

my photos are taking forever to upload and I don't have any time left, so I am going to send the SD card home once my parents send me back that last one I sent to them in the first place.

I Love You ALL!

All the TEARS are Worth it!

This Letter Makes All the Tears and Sacrifice Worth IT!

Sept. 30, 2013

Mommy,
I love you so much! I am so glad that you can read my handwriting! My companion  and roommates can’t read it..... They think that it is too hard. Wait..... You can read it, right???? I hope so.
Anyways. I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you all the time. In class, we were talking about families and everyone was describing how amazing their moms were, but when it got to me, I told them that you are a righteous Daughter of God and amazing Mother. I told them how you are the Stake Young Womens President and the Sisters thought that you were Super Cool right from the start.
Mom, I am so glad that I have such an amazing relationship with you. Thank You for being there to put an arm around me and telling me I can do it! Thank You for all the motivation and support you give to me. I’m sorry that I was such an annoying little kid rinning around the house like a mad-man. I realize the stress that I have caused in your life. (Ha ha, he has always been a JOY, yes Stressful but a JOY)
I love you So mUch! I Might not............... actually, I wouldn’t be out here if it wasn’t for you and your Testimony you share with me everyday.
Enclosed in this letter is a musical number me and my district performed on fast Sunday. I love the words to this. I hope you like it too.
Your Son,
Elder Zackary Snell
P.S. I really hope you can read my handwriting.
P.P.S. That’s funny right there!

Musical number the way they performed it. (This can also be sung to Hymn #26)
1.Come, thou Fount of every blessing,
tune my heart to sing thy grace;
streams of mercy, never ceasing,
call for songs of loudest praiseSister (alto/Sop).
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount! I'm fixed upon it,
mount of thy redeeming love. All Parts
2.Here I raise mine Ebenezer;
hither by thy help I'm come;
and I hope, by thy good pleasure,
safely to arrive at home. Elders Unison
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
wandering from the fold of God;
he, to rescue me from danger,
interposed his precious blood. All Parts
3.O to grace how great a debtor
daily I'm constrained to be!
Let thy goodness, like a fetter,
bind my wandering heart to thee. Acapella (all) 1sttime, 2nd time with piano.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
prone to leave the God I love;
here's my heart, O take and seal it,
seal it for thy courts above.

Hey,
So since my camera won’t hook up to the computer I am sending my SD card to you. I have a back up, NO WORRIES! I also thought it would be cool to send you my schedule that I have followed the past week or so.

LIFE AT THE MTC IS AWESOME!

I Love you ALL!!!!!!!!!

Le me know what you think of the MTC life. Can you handle it?

Oh and I have started a gratitutde journal. I write down one thing (different) that I was grateful for that day. You should join me! I also restarted the BofM. I stop every 3 verses and analyze what it means to me or what I got out of it. I advise you to try this way of study with me and write back your experiences.
Love you ALL!!!!
ELDER SNELL

P.S. The one with the tree that elder Babb is up against smells like cream soda. You will proceed and see another pic with a group of people sniffing it too. I don’t know them.
