EXCLAMATION POINT!

I don't know if you all remember, but there is this member of the 70's that came to our mission to talk at our mission conference and he LOVES Exclamation points! Well, guess what! I love exclamation points too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is an amazing speaker! I loved hearing some of his stories. one of which was when he was at the lunch room for all the general authorities and someone said, "Elder Neilson! Can I take your tray for you? President Monson would like to speak with you." Can you imagine what it would be like to be in his place? I would be thinking about my past and try to think about why I would need to talk to him. Elder Neilson walks over to him and President Monson said, "Hello, Elder Neilson. How tall are you?"
     " 6'5...."
     "I'm 6'3''!"
hahah! I love President Monson! they just continued on talking about the food and if they were treating Elder Neilson ok. haha!

Off the matters of the conference, we had one of our investigators show up to Sacrament Meeting! Her name is Shandila. She absolutely LOVES the church and the people that are in it. We have only taught her the first half of the Restoration and she has a ton of questions! Thankfully, I feel confident that we have answered them correctly! I can't wait for her progression towards our Savior and our Heavenly Father!

That is about all I have for this week.. Sorry it has been sort of a boring week for me. Maybe it is just because I am not making them awesome... Who knows? I guess I will have to be more abnormal than usual this week! HUZZAH!!!!

Until those crazy events seamlessly occur I will be looking for New people to teach and baptize!

Chaotic Organization

FINALY, I get to email home! I have waited 2 extra days to email home now and I was going to be super sad if the library was closed today, but it's not! hahaha!

  First off, I want to wish my amazing Mother a happy birthday! I love her so much and probably wouldn't be emailing home form Virginia right now! I owe her something... maybe a hug? I don't know, maybe this letter will suffice! ;)          I LOVE YOU MOMMY!

   Next, I want to talk about interviews with President Riggs! They were fabulous, but I have a lot to look forward to this coming transfer. Sadly, I think Elder Rowley and I are giving our last go-round... The reason why I say this: President Riggs pulled me in and asked me how I was feeling worthy wise. I said that I was feeling worthy and all that jazz, but here is the stinger! He told me that I would be put into a leadership position really soon. he didn't know where yet because he hadn't prayed about that yet, but I will definitely be in a leadership position.
WHAT? I HAVE ONLY BEEN OUT FOR FOUR MONTHS?!?!?! I told him that I would gladly keep myself worthy for such a position and strive to always be improving! So I guess that's exciting!!!

    Lastly, I need to bring up the weather. I had just sent a letter home to my dad telling him that I was super lucky because I didn't have to really deal with the cold and the snow. JINX!!! I shouldn't have even wrote that down! Ever since I wrote that letter, we have been living in cold conditions! It just PUKED up snow yesterday! Of course we had to walk around in it, but I didn't mind the snow much. Later that night, we got a text saying that tomorrow will be in the negatives with a freezing wind chill! GREAT! that is today! Yes, it has been freezing cold! To make it worse, as I hopped into the shower this morning, our furnace shut down!!! it is now in the fifties in our apartment! AHHHHHHHHHH! You better bet a million dollars that I won't be boastful of our amazing weather conditions!

Anyways, I am still staying warm. don't worry about me! I love all of you guys! keep on reading my letters! atleast I know that I enjoy them!

Catapulting Lasagna

(Not sure what the title has to do with any of his letter)

So, there isn't really much to talk about................................... OH OH OH OH OH!!!!! I KNOW WHAT TO TALK BAOUT!!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAHHHHITWASSOAMAZINGSPECTACULARFABULOUSTRIUMPHANTMAGNIFICANTPHANOMINALDECOMBOBULISTICMAGITASTICSUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUSBOMBASTICTHINGINTHEENTIREWORLD!!!!!!!!! Oh I finished the Book of Mormon! I started it when I came on my mission in the MTC and I finished it for studies TODAY! Man, I love the Book of Mormon! For all of you reading this, I am issuing a challenge! Read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover! it only took me 4 months by reading a chapter or two each day! it is easier than you think! Any ways, there is my two bits of fun information.

this past fast sunday, I got up and bore my testimony! I love the feeling you get when you share your testimony! it is just one of those warm fuzzy feelings! YAY WARM FUZZIES! I wish you could just catch those little fuzz balls and stuff them in a big jar to give to someone on Christmas day! Maybe if you dump them on some snow, it will melt and make your house bloom with rainbows! ahhh!
We are actually teaching this Egyptian lady and it is pretty great! I will put a recording telling more about her on DropBox. We had a translator come and talk Arabic with her and it was pretty cool! the translator is one of our less active members, so we will kill two birds with one stone here! yay!!!! :P

anyways, I believe that is all I have to write about! I absolutely love being here serving the Lord! keep up the good work back home, guys! Love you all!

A Trip Down Humility Lane

So, I have learned that humility is like a cold pond on a windy winter day. yup! great stuff! So let me set the scene..............................
bluahbluahbluabhablubahblaubhablaubhubaubayybalybay (dream sequence effect)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     I was leap, leaping along until I came upon Elder Rowley's bike. Time to fix it, I thought to my self. thanks to the innertubes that mom and dad sent me for Christmas, I was able to fix that problem, but the one problem I couldn't fix was the axel to the wheel... it had been totally destroyed!!!! luckily, I was blessed with problem-solving skills and used the back tire of a junk bike outside our apartment. "HUZZAH" we both shouted after I had successfully played bike doctor on the old bike. We went exploring the next day to find trails we hadn't been on before and it was a cold windy day... that was our first mistake. the second was we hadn't been on these trails before.
     We rode up to a pond area to find that the rain from last night had made the puddle overflow and cover part of the trail we were biking on. You know me, guys.... Nothing can stop Elder Snell from getting where he wants to go! I examine the trail quickly and assume that there is only about five inches of water covering the path, no big deal. without even thinking twice, I start to bike through this little pond. I had gotten maybe five yards in and my feet started to get a little wet. this didn't bother me, but I failed to realize that my feet were getting wet because I was slowly going down hill. I continue as my arrogant self and suddenly my front tire sinks..... the water has covered my front tire and stopped me from progressing. like a sloth after being tired of hanging on too long, I fell off my bike... into four feet of water......sometimes as a missionary, you think you know what you are doing. you get super confident.. you know how I get. anyways, Heavenly father sure has a funny way of humbling his children. You get cocky and think you know the true path that you should go, but you figure out that you can't really too far with out his help........ by falling into a lake... that is feezing cold.... just to make it worse, its a cold windy winter day.... and you thought that it couldn't get worse.. You were WRONG! there was a guy walking his little boy in his stroller and he saw all of this. He couldn't stop laughing at me. I decided to accept the humiliation and make it so he was laughing with me! Elder Rowley wont let me live this moment down.
Anyways, I love you all. Please don't try to Bike across puddles without the Lords Help! We need Him!
Until next time,
~ Elder Snell -=ii=<{
